About our company - Swift Clean - Hygiene Specialists in the UK
Formed in 1982, the Swiftclean Group have expanded steadily and established an enviable reputation for the delivery of an exceptionally high quality service. Investing time, manpower and capital into Research and Development we are dedicated to continually moving forward, utilising the latest techniques and equipment, which ensures optimum results on every contract whatever the scale of the operation.
The Group’s core business involves the hygiene of building services, concentrating primarily on air movement and water systems. Services also extend to post fire smoke damage decontamination, hygiene cleans following pigeon colonisation and other niche areas of building hygiene.
Dedication to staff development and training culminated in August of 1997 with the award of “Investors in People” status from the Essex Training and Enterprise Council. Successful reassessments to this standard were achieved November 2000 & 2003. Ongoing training is an integral part of Swiftclean’s business planning process and will continue to be so.
Invitations to assist BSRIA, HVCA and CIBSE with the development of three separate ventilation hygiene guidance documents is a true recognition of the Group’s technical expertise in building services hygiene. BSRIA’s standard specification for Ventilation Hygiene (FMS 1), HVCA’s Guide to Good Practice ‘Cleanliness of Ventilation Systems’ (TR/17 First + Second editions and TR/19 2005) and CIBSE’s Hygienic Maintenance of Office Ventilation Ductwork (TM26:2000) are now sold together by all three industry bodies along with the Health & Safety Executive’s General Ventilation in the Workplace Guidance for Employers booklet (HS G 202) as a ‘Ventilation Hygiene Tool kit’
Swiftclean’s MD was elected as chairman of the HVCA’s Ventilation Hygiene Group Branch for 2003 & then re- elected for 2004 where much development work is undertaken for the good of all ventilation system users.
The Swiftclean Group’s objectives to create superior conditions within air and water systems is continually being marked through research and development of the services and products provided. The 1997 launch of ‘Permasolvent’, a solution to the UK’s one billion pound ‘scale’ problem, the 1998 launch of the Ventilation Hygiene Monitoring Service to achieve cost effective compliance with mandatory regulations, the 2000 launch of ventilation hygiene risk assessment procedures and the 2003 introduction of a complete satisfaction or your money back guarantee, are just a few examples.
As one of the largest independent companies operating in the Building Services Hygiene sector we offer the security of a company that has been established for over 23 years, is financially secure and employs its own direct work force to carry out contracted work from strategically placed locations throughout the country.
Our in-depth knowledge of current regulations, guidelines and best practice, within the industry, together with our watching brief on impending changes and new legislation ensure that our clients have the opportunity to form a “Technical Partnership” and to utilise our expertise as an extension of their own building services departments.
The Swiftclean Group lead the way within the water and air hygiene field. A unique and individual service is provided to each of it's customers. Taking into account the size of the project, budget constrictions and the urgency of the work, we will conduct a survey and provide recommendations.
